Bell Tents
The Bell Tent shares its origins with the traditional tipi, beginning as a hunter’s skin tent stretched over wooden spears. Over time, it evolved across Europe into a reliable military tent design and was even used by New Zealand troops during World War I. Its classic, practical shape has stood the test of time, offering both comfort and durability in all kinds of outdoor conditions.
At Tasman Canvas, we manufacture two versions of this popular and versatile tent. Our 4 metre Bell Tent features low walls, a zipped floor, and optional insect mesh for the doors. It’s easy to erect and provides full standing room, making it an ideal option for family camping, glamping, or outdoor events.
Each tent is made from high-quality canvas supported by galvanised steel poles for strength and longevity. Suitable for up to four people, the Bell Tent blends traditional design with modern craftsmanship. Other sizes and custom options are also available on request to suit your specific needs.
